karl_lembke organized a cookbook for laconiv and asked me for "Spice Cadet" ribbons, complete with the rocket/starburst.

Fred from the Libertarian Futurist Society wanted LFS ribbons.

And Don Glover the Younger wanted a self-referential ribbon, "not an Official Ribbon." We've got a lot of this class of ribbon coming for the Worldcon; apart from my own "Silly Ribbon" and "Ribbon Slut," we have this one, and another one that James D. ordered. But more about that later.


Broad Universe is an outfit promoting sf by women; Kelly (saycestsay) wanted them, and they should be in her hands by now.


DrGafia was rich brown's handle when he was online; this is one of five (count them, five) memorial ribbons that will be circulating at Worldcon. Apart from the obvious "Frankie" and "Howard" ribbons, there's this one, plus the Michael Mason memorial ribbon "9,000 Ice Teas No Lemon," and wouldyoueva squeeked just under the wire before I sent in the last batch of ribbons to order one herself. But we'll talk about those later.

Fuzzy Niven asked me for the "TrantorCon in 23,309" ribbons, and we almost put the rocket/starburst on them. (Because that was the emblem of the Galactic Empire, if you remember your Asimov Foundation Trilogy trivia.) But she changed her mind at the last minute, fearing that they'd be confused for official L.A.con IV ribbons. She and Larry will be handing out these; look for them and ask them nicely.
